Alana De La Garza has gained a following through her appearances on TV. The parents of De La Garza were Mexican-American and Irish-American. The actress was born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 26, 1976. Within a short time, she moved to Texas and completed her physical therapy degree at University of Texas. De La Garza didn't last for long in Texas and moved to Orlando Florida where she experienced many acting opportunities that included local independent films and international commercials. She quickly found her passion in the field of acting even in small roles. Then she moved from New York and in 2001 she got her first role on the daytime soap show All My Children as Rosa Santos. Through the initial decade of 2000, she acted small roles in JAG Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men.
